I am a 40+ singleton who has decided late in life that she would like to have a child. My hubs are here to share with others who are in the same situation.

Whether or not this happens for me remains to be seen but in any case I will be keeping you updated with my progress.

In my journey, which has now gone on for a year, I have learned a lot about trying to conceive and pregnancy etc so I am also sharing the knowledge that I have picked up after a lot of research on the subject.

Update: In Jan 2012 I found out I was pregnant (conceived naturally at age 44). However, I had some spotting and cramping at 7+4 and went to the hospital. Ultrasound showed a blighted ovum (gestational sac but no embryo) so unfortunately the pregnancy was not viable. A week later (after a second ultrasound to confirm the diagnosis) I miscarried naturally.
